seadragon

A lot of blogs're talking about this new Microsoft product. Why? Because Microsoft makes this product available for iPhone even before it's available for Microsoft Windows Mobile. The Seadragon's even registered in Apple Store. Everyone's talking about how lame is that when Microsoft have make an application available for their competitor product. And they make it's seam like iPhone is the only device has enough graphic capability to run this application for mobile phone right now…

But as a developer, I'm not gonna go deep inside how good the iPhone is, or how lame and why Microsoft put that Seadragon into Apple Store. I'm more interested in what is that Seadragon. Seadragon is a new SilverLight Technology to display high resolution photo viewer app. It could view giga-pixel sized images, provide deep zoom to get very close up. It's not just an iPhone app, it's also a web app as well.

I don't have an iPhone so I don't know how cool is this technology in iPhone. But the look of it in website are quite impressive. It's using SilverLight platform but Microsoft also support Seadragon Ajax so you could integrate into your website without worry about Silverlight.

My example of using Seadragon Ajax
